Saturday was absolutely beautiful so we decided to plant some flowers, or I decided and volunteered Trey to help! Last year we planted a million flowers (50 or so) in our backyard and about 48 of them died. Luckily the marigolds grew back! This year we decided just to stick to the front yard and ease into it. If I don't kill all of these, I get to get more for the backyard!!
I did about the first 11 and Trey finished up for me. And Ella dug up some dirt to. We bought her her own little digger...I am sure there is a correct word, I don't know what it is called. It digs, so it is a digger. See...
She also has a wooden spoon. Hey, why not? It's a good digger too. Trey worked hard while Ella & I got some play time in. She was inspecting her finger seriously. I think she got a little dirt on it and this girl does not like to have dirty hands. (I love those fat cheeks!)
I am ready for the flowers to grow and spread and look beautiful. I hate having to follow the planting guidelines and spread them apart because I want a full flowerbed. I am just impatient!

Haha! Digger. Oh, Joy!! lol. Too funny. :) Pretty flowers. I have the same problem... I plant things, and they don't live. I love it in the beginning, but kinda forget about it after a while. (Short attention span, or something). Hope your flowers live for ya this year!! Beautiful Ella pictures, as usual.
Love,
Sarah
I love how Ella is planting flowers in a flower outfit haha!
